The world needs young people to carry forward the torch of stewardship for the earth.
For the last number of years, the Leeds-Grenville Stewardship Council has made available two (2) $500 bursaries for Leeds and Grenville students who will be attending Post-secondary education, in the general field of Environmental Studies.
The award winners are selected by a committee of LGSC members who choose based on Financial need, Community service, and Academic record.
Applicants had to submit a Resume and Letter describing plans for post-secondary education and why he or she deserves the bursary.
Because we had many qualified applicants for 2018 we made an exception and chose 3 excellent candidates:
Melina Farmer of South Grenville High School; Shannon Neville North Grenville High school; and Teaghen Clarke of Brockville Collegiate Institute.
